INTRODUCTION:

Maruthi Paramedical Academy College and School of Nursing has been established by a group of senior doctors in all specialities who are working in Bhadrachalam to provide good academic standards of education and training in paramedical courses and nursing programme.

CAMPUS:

The Institute is pleasantly located on the banks of river Godavari in a spacious, unpolluted campus of 2 acres. The students have wide opportunity for the free movement and studies.
 
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Maruthi Paramedical Academy, College and School of Nursing. Efficient, Committed, Sincere faculty is inherent strength of our institution.
 
The students are trained to attend the sick person with compassion and care. Teaching programme is designed to the curriculum basis to prepare the students for various academic and competitive challenges and advancement of medicine.
 
CLINICAL TRAINING:
 
The institution is having its own hospitals with 250 beds in branches of Genereal Surgery, Pediatrics, Obsterics & Gynaecology, Orthopedics and family medicine. Additionally the institute also has the affiliation to post the students at Area Hospital, Bhadrachalam with 200 beds, Additional District TB Centre for special training in Tuberculosis, Nutrition Rehabilitation center with 40 beds for training in Nutritional Programme, with a total bed strength of 450 beds.
 
THE SUPER SPECIALITY POLY CLINICS:
 
The hospitals of the Institution conducts Super Speciality camps in branches of Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Urology and Respiratory diseases. Students are exposed for treatment in above branches. The hospitals are well equipped with Echocardiogram, Endoscopy, 300ma X-ray Machine, Ultrasound sonogram, E-arm equipment etc.,

AIMS & OBJECTIVES
 
The primary aim of the Institution is to take care of sick and suffering with love and compassion to restore them to healthy body and mind, giving due recognition to their spiritual needs in its relation to help without consideration of caste, creed, race or language.
To help each students as professional practitioner in community health to use creative thinking and sound knowledge.
To educate and prepare students to work in mutual co-operation with medical and paramedical personnel and to participate in various programs for prevention of disease and promotion in the community.
To develop the ability to think and act independently, and to accept responsibility as an individual in taking her place in the family and society.

B.Sc. NURSING PROGRAMME

Maruthi Paramedical Academy, College of Nursing is offering a Four year B.Sc., Nursing Course, recognized by Government of Andhra Pradesh Nurses, Midwives, Auxiliary Nurse University of Health Visitors Council, Indian Nursing Council and Affiliated to Dr.N.T.R. University of Health Sciences. The course is normally scheduled to start during the first week of August every year with strength of 40 students.

 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (Eligibilty)
  1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission
  2. The minimum education requirements shall be passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate examination(12 year course)
Or
 
Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), Pre degree Examination (10+2)
 
Or
 
Any equivalent with 12 years schooling from recognized board or University with Science(Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
 
DURATION OF THE COURSE
 
Duration of the course shall be four years including internship.
 
GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COURSE - GNM
 
Maruthi Paramedical Academy, School of Nursing is offering a Three and a half( 3 1/2 ) year Diploma in General Nursing Course, recognized by Government of Andhra Pradesh Nurses, Midwives, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives and Health Visitors Council. The course is normally scheduled to start every year with strength of 60 students.
 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS(Eligibility)
 
According to Indian Nursing Council regulations
  1. Admissions are open to candidates of all castes and religion of good health and character aged between 17-35 years on 1st July of relevant year of admission.
  2. The minimum education qualification would be Intermediate or 10+2 examination of any group.

SELECTION OF THE CANDIDATES

The Selection of candidates will be as per the 'Andhra Pradesh General Nursing Institutions(Admission into General Nurse Training and Grant of permission to private schools of Nursing) Rules,1997'.
The Selection committee shall select the candidates admission based purely on merit, on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in the group subjects, excluding languages. In deciding merit, candidates who qualify under compartmental system will be placed after candidates who pass in single attempt.

DURATION OF THE COURSE

The course of General Nursing is 3 1/2 years duration including internship

HOSTEL AND MESS

Well furnished hostel accomodation and mess is provided in the campus on chargeable basis.
  1. Students in the hostel shall be under the contol/supervision of the warden.
  2. No student is allowed to go out after 6:00 pm from the hostel.
  3. No guardian or parent or relative or friend is expected to see the student without prior permission from the management.
  4. Library facilities have been provided in the hostel and there will be facilities of indoor and outdoor games.
  5. No telephone calls directly to the students, except in case of parents/guardian.
  6. Students will not be allowed to go out side the hostel without the written permission of the warden or the authorized official.
Management has right to refuse permission of the visitors at any time.

FEES

The selected candidates have to pay tution fees and other constituent fees, special fees and caution deposit as per the rates prescribed and laid down from time to time. Fees once paid will not be refundable.

UNIFORM

Student nurses shall wear white uniform while on duty as prescribed.
